Want To Be Happier, Healthier? Keep A Gratitude List!
Wow! Who doesn’t want to feel that way? The most common way to cultivate a pervasive feeling of gratitude is to keep a gratitude list – it will change your life! People who keep a gratitude list report feeling:
- Alert, alive, and awake
- More joy and pleasure
- Increased optimism and happiness
- Less lonely and isolated2
When writing your gratitude list, use a full sentence for each item like, “I’m grateful for…” or “I’m grateful that…”
This allows you to put down a thought that is giving thanks as opposed to just listing things or people.
it could hold a rather large amount of Gratitude.”
