But first, we want to make sure your locks are prepped before receiving a makeover. So here\u2019s a list of five things to consider before you jump into the colour pool!<\/div>\n

It\u2019s best to provide a solid history to get the best results possible\u2026so put on your thinkin\u2019 cap and jot down any colouring, processing or damage you recall. Ideally, you want your hair to be as healthy as possible before your appointment. It\u2019s the best way to prevent breakage that may occur during processing. Here are a few ways to prep your hair:<\/div>\n
Ditch the dead\u2026definitely get a trim to remove any split ends before you colour. Healthier hair always responds better to colour.<\/div>\n
Applying a hydrating hair mask all over your strands about a week before you go in to get your colour done is always a good idea, too. This hydrates your hair from root to tip and preps it for the colour process.<\/div>\n
On the day of (or night before) your appointment, making sure your hair is squeaky clean is key. Use a clarifying shampoo to remove any excess product that may be lingering\u2026because a clean palette is the best way to obtain the truest colour and best results.<\/div>\n

One of the golden rules of hair colouring is you MUST change your shampoo and conditioner to those designed for colour-treated hair. Doing this maintains your bombshell hues, as well as the overall health of your hair.<\/div>\n
