The Extended MONAT Family Greets Its 3rd Anniversary With Joy!

MONAT Global has made an amazing journey since its inception only three years ago. During these past three years, MONAT has expanded the U.S. premium haircare category by 10 percent, paying out $100 million in cumulative commissions and impacting literally thousands of lives. MONAT now has more than 110,000 Market Partners and more than 250,000 VIP customers, and they are found in every state of America and every Canadian province. With annual revenues of $18 million in 2015, its first full year, the company is on track for more than $300 million in revenues in 2017.

The company’s vision is to be a global leader in naturally based, anti-aging innovation, with an unrivaled business model that enhances the self-confidence and financial well-being of one million families around the globe each year.

Some major milestones along the way…

MONAT attributes its amazing progress to three core values: family, gratitude and empowerment.

MONAT was co-founded by Luis Urdaneta, a successful entrepreneur from Venezuela, and his son Ray Urdaneta. President Stuart MacMillan rounds out the trifecta of leadership for the company. The Urdaneta family’s culture of caring and love permeates the entire organization. A genuine closeness exists among the staff and field partners.

Gratitude is a core value of MONAT’s…being grateful for everything which each person has been blessed and a deep-seated belief in giving back to the communities where its customers, Market Partners and employees live. This “attitude of gratitude” is woven throughout MONAT’s entire operation so much so that everyone acts with a sincere humility and thankfulness.

Finally, MONAT’s culture of empowerment has been a tremendous factor in the company’s revolutionary growth: “We help others discover beautiful lives.” Those beautiful lives come from feeling empowerment and freedom for the first time for so many due to the ability to live a financially rewarding life. Empowered to pursue one’s goals and one’s dreams, MONAT’s Market Partners are truly committed to the company and work hard to make everyone’s ambitions come true. MONAT rewards a strong work ethic with formalized recognition and programs like The MONAT Motor Club, for which one qualifies to earn a white Cadillac! Today there are 240 white Cadillacs on the road! Annual galas are the epicenter of recognition efforts, with trophies given out for those who work hard, give back and emulate all that MONAT stands for.

MONAT is a unique company with a unique culture.

We’ll sign off this blog with MONAT’s standard farewell…

FEEL LIKE NEW WITH A NEW HAIR DO

Have you ever left a beauty salon feeling wonderful and confident, or frustrated and uncomfortable? Studies have shown that our hair can have a great impact on how we see and feel about ourselves, and even on how we behave in social environments. A hair style can even alter the perception that other people have of us. But that’s ok, diversity is a beautiful thing! And hair can be so versatile and fun, that by changing your style you can easily reinvent yourself over and over again.

We see a lot of this among Hollywood stars. They have good and bad hair days, just like us, but they’re constantly setting the pace for new trends in fashion, hair and makeup, and many times they are the ones who inspire fashion designers. Good thing awards show season is just getting started and we can get a few ideas from what’s ‘in’ now!

At the Golden Globes for example, we saw a few really pretty cool hairdos, some of which are not hard to put together at home, like Eva Longoria’s old-fashioned low chignon, Rachel McAdams’ high pouf, and Taraji P. Henson’s messy side coif. We loved these for their elegant simplicity and full of body-ness!

And you know what can definitely help you add more body and volume to your locks? You got it: MONAT! Each one of the MONAT products and Systems are specially formulated to nourish your hair and scalp and help you have visible longer, fuller, stronger, youthful-looking hair.

So if you’re looking to feel like new this New Year, why not go for a different hairdo?

Wave That Ponytail Hello
Who says all ponytails are created equal? It’s time to shake things up, whether you have straight of curly hair.
  • After washing your hair with your favorite MONAT shampoo and conditioner, spray Reshape Root Lifter directly to roots and apply Restyle Instant Sculpting Taffy throughout ends.
  • Whip your hair to the front and blow dry downwards.
  • Divide your hair in medium-sized sections and use a curling iron to shape each one from roots to ends (be careful not to get the iron too close to your scalp).
  • Separate the curls with a flat, thin-bristle brush and hold your hair in a ponytail at desired height, without flattening the top to keep the waves all over.

No More Braids, Thank You
Time to give your hair and your scalp a breather. Gently remove the tight braids and use MONAT daily to nourish every strand, give your mane a healthy shine, and avoid freeze.
  • Apply a generous amount of Replenish Masque on all your hair and scalp and leave in for 20 minutes.
  • Wash your hair with your favorite MONAT shampoo and conditioner, apply the Restore Leave-In Conditioner and towel dry by sqweezing out excess water. Do not rub-dry!
  • Rub a few drops of REJUVENIQE™ Oil Intensive between hands and apply throughout your hair ends. Repeat if needed.
  • Blow-dry on low heat using your hands to maintain the shape of your curls.
  • Finish with a few extra drops of REJUVENIQE™ as needed.

The Hipster In Me
Be daring. Be bold. Be [the real] you. Besides looking cool, a good short avant-garde trim will remove split ends and help your hair gain strength and bounce.
  • After washing your hair with your favorite MONAT shampoo andconditioner, spray Reshape Root Lifter directly to roots and apply Restyle Instant Sculpting Taffy throughout ends.
  • Use a medium-sized round brush to blow-dry your hair upwards. Do not flat-iron.
  • Rub a dab of the Sculpting Taffy between hands and use your fingers to style your hair to one side, preserving height.
  • Finish by spraying Refinish Control Hairspray all over.

New Year, New [Self-Loving] You!

January is Self-Love Month, right before the nationally celebrated month of getting struck by Cupid’s arrow and loving others… Coincidence? We think not : -). We’ve all heard that, to be able to love others, we need to first learn to love ourselves. What a great mindset to start off the New Year! But what is “self-love”, really? We asked colleagues and friends what “loving thyself” meant to them and we got pretty cool responses. Here are a few of our faves:

WAYS TO LOVE THYSELF

When you truly love yourself you don’t get the urge to feel superior to others. Instead, you see other people’s experiences as an opportunity to learn about life… And in the end, you’re less judgmental and more compassionate not only towards them, but also towards yourself.
Ironically, I used to “love” myself by not caring about my appearance, because to me, this was a way of “accepting” myself, but I was very shy and insecure and I didn’t like what I saw in the mirror. That all changed once I committed to taking care of my body -from the inside out and from head to toe!
Pamper yourself, exercise, smile to stranger, read a book, open the door for someone, take a break, educate yourself, eat chocolate without guilt, don’t say no to everything or yes to anything… To me, it’s the simplest things that make us feel good about ourselves!
Some people are so proud and think so highly of themselves that they never accept when they’re wrong. I think that when you have self-love, you are confident and brave enough to be humble and say “I’m sorry”.

It’s not about ignoring your flaws, it’s about embracing them… Don’t love yourself despite your imperfections, love yourself with your imperfections!
